UPDATE - 31 March 2003 - This particular problem was fixed in version 2.02 - A new error was discovered on 5 June 2002, concerning the SPBS/DPAS interface with the hand receipt diskette. If you have non-standard NSN's on your diskette, the program may abort as it's trying to read the hand receipt diskette. I will be putting out a version 2.02 that will fix this problem, but in the meantime you can avoid this error by using notepad to delete non-standard NSN's from your ALV09PDP.NEW file. I believe the error is most prevelant if you have an "E" in the non-standard stock number, as the computer tries to interpret the "E" as exponentiation, which converts the number to something incredibly huge, causing an "overflow" error.
Should you get an "Error 6 - Subscript out of Range" that means you are running CLG Version 1.x (either 1.1, 1.2, or 1.3) with an EM0074 CD dated 1 September 2001 or later. Relax - you're in the right place... simply download version 2.0 for Sept 2001 or version 2.01 for Apr 2002.
Should you get an "Error 76 - Path not Found" that means you are running CLG Version 2.0 with the 1 April 2002 edition of the EM0074 CD. The fix is to download CLG, Version 2.01 (and hope LOGSA stops playing with the format of the CD!).
Installation notes - I've found that it's best to uninstall an earlier version of CLG before even starting to install a new version. Windows tries to put both programs in the "Program Files" folder, in a subfolder called "CLG"... There is inevitably a conflict... I've also found that Windows (particularly Windows 2000) doesn't do a very good job uninstalling, and seems to want to keep the old CLG link in its menu as a broken link... The way around this is to go to the Program Files folder, find the CLG folder, then find the CLG.exe file, and create a shortcut. Drag this shortcut onto your desktop, and the new version will work every time...
Update - 29 May 2002 - There have been a number of people who've already visited this site, even though it wasn't ready and completely tested until tonight... If you've got a download prior to 21:00 this evening, it's probably going to have some installation problems... Download the newest files that are posted here now, and they should go away...
